ANXO, DC's first cidery and pintxos bar, was originally planning on opening at 300 Florida Ave NW in late February. Unfortunately, as with any restaurant opening in DC, some substantial obstacles have recently appeared. Due to issues with setting up utilities, ANXO anticipates a delay of at least two months, and hopes to open this summer. Updates will be sent out if this schedule changes. Meanwhile, the ANXO team will continue to host preview events until opening.

Friday, November 13, 2015, 5:30pm – 12:00am
The Second installment of ANXO's Cider Club residency at Colony Club is November 13. From 5:30 p.m. to midnight, ANXO will be offering their most ambitious cider list yet with more than 30 ciders and perries available by the glass. Collaboration #1 will be available as will a new array of hot and cold a la carte pintxos (Basque-inspired small bites) from Executive Chef Brad Walker and Chef Alex Vallcorba.
Each Cider Club features an educational component, and this time Beverage Director Tim Prendergast will host a tasting of local heirloom apple varietals provided by Glaize Apples from Winchester, VA. Head to Colony Club’s second floor at 5:45 p.m. to learn why some apples are great for making cider and others are best eaten fresh. This seminar is free but space is limited, so arriving early is encouraged.
The Millstone + ANXO Collaboration #1 will be priced at $7 per glass with limited availability. Prices for all other ciders vary. This event is 21+.
