CELEBRATE WOMEN’S MONTH AT BRIGHTWOOD PIZZA!
For the entire month of March we are celebrating women and raising money for the DC Abortion Fund. ANXO Cider’s Nevertheless Cider will be re-released on Friday, March 1st, and $1 for every glass and 4-pack sold in March will go to the DC Abortion Fund.
Don’t drink alcohol? There are plenty of other ways to support the cause! 100% of proceeds from our Women’s Month shirts (click below) will benefit DCAF, make a direct donation here, or join us for other fun events throughout the month for all ages and occasions!
THURSDAYS: WOMEN’S MONTH TRIVIA!
Brightwood Pizza Trivia will debut on March 7th and will continue after every Thursday 7-9pm, hosted by Capital City Showcase Trivia. During the month of March, each edition of trivia will feature a pro-abortion round and other questions about women’s history. Prizes include $50 off your tab for first place, $15 off for second, best team name gets a round of shots (alcoholic or non), and losers will get a single dessert to drown their sorrows in. This event is 21 years+ only and will fill up so get here early for some pizza to reserve your space!
WEDNESDAY WINE TASTINGS
Every Wednesday from 5-7pm we offer a free tasting of three featured wines that are also available by-the-glass and to-go. On Wednesday, March 6th, we will have a special edition with ANXO Co-Founder Sam Fitz pouring the three newest ANXO ciders (Nevertheless, Cab Franc, and Quince). We will also be featuring female-made wines the entire month of March, with the tastings on the 13th, 20th and 27th each showcasing different female producers, and a Catoctin Creek Female-Made spirit flights on our bar menu all month!
WEDNESDAY LIVE MUSIC
For Women’s Month we will have femme-identifying artists spinning jams and playing live music every Wednesday in the back building 7-9pm! Artists include:
3/6 DJ Em
3/13 DJ Em
3/20 DJ Diyanna Monet
3/27 Live Music from Zoe Jorgenson-Speirs Trio
PLANT AND FLOWER MARKETS
Nothing says spring like plants! Join us for a plant market by femme-identifying business owners the last Saturday in March 12-3pm, featuring plants, fresh bouquets and preserved bouquets by Roots & Blooms on 3/30 as well as tomato plants grown by our very own Rachel Fitz!
At Brightwood Pizza, pizza and cider are what we have to contribute. So in an effort to use the building blocks of delicious pizza to benefit a cause near and dear to our hearts, we have been raising tomato and basil seedlings for the last few months. We will be selling these at the plant market with 100% of the proceeds to benefit the DC Abortion Fund. We hope it’s a fun way to get your summer garden going!
