PINTXO PARTY W/ TOM OLIVER of oliver's cider & Perry

Perhaps the world's most famous cider maker, Tom Oliver, brings his traditional English ciders to a Basque-inspired pintxos bar at ANXO for a memorable crossing of food and beverage cultures. Ocle Pychard, the collaboration ANXO's Cider Maker Gregory Johnson made last year at Oliver's, will be served from five-gallon bag-in-boxes spread across the pintxos bar, which will also be decked out with an epic spread of ANXO's spectacular pintxos, reminiscent of the famous pintxos bars of San Sebastian.
Tickets for this event include two hours of unlimited pours of Ocle as well as samples of many other Oliver and ANXO ciders and two hours of unlimited pintxos from the bar selections, which will be refreshed throughout the night. Guests should come hungry and thirsty!
Tickets for this event are $50. Guests arriving before 6:30pm will get an opportunity to meet Tom and will get a complimentary 750mL bottle of Ocle Pychard to take home. Tom will be departing around 7pm but the pintxo bar will operate until 9pm. Tickets will also be sold at the door and the upstairs dining room and bar will be open for regular business.

Heavy Seas is turning their Baltimore Alehouse into a home for heritage ciders during Cidercon. Many authentic English ciders will be available on draft and via bag-in-box all week, and ANXO is curating a number of guest taps on the 31st. Ciders will be available to the general public and will include:

One of Baltimore's original craft breweries and home to great beer welcomes cider into their house. The Brewer's Art Executive Chef Andrew Weinzirl will offer a four-course menu conceived in collaboration with ANXO's Executive Chef Alex Vallcorba and his Basque-inspired pintxos. Ciders from the three cideries will be paired with the menu, which can be enjoyed by patrons at any time for $50 each.

A limited amount of $75 tickets will be available for a guided dinner hosted by Ryan Burk of Angry Orchard, Tom Oliver of Oliver's Cider, Kevin Zielinski of EZ Orchards, and Sam Fitz of ANXO Cider. Attendees will enjoy the same menu as walk-in guests but with bonus ciders from Ryan, Tom, Kevin and Sam's stashes plus the opportunity to talk all things cider with these four industry tastemakers.

Tickets will be posted on January 17th and will be in short supply. Additional walk-in tables will be seated first-come-first-served. ANXO, Angry Orchard, and Oliver ciders will be available at the bar as well.

Baltimore's iconic beer bar welcomes ANXO home. Co-founders Sam and Rachel Fitz grew up in Baltimore and have spent the past decade frequenting Max's for awesome beers on numerous trips home. A homecoming of sorts, join the ANXO team on the late side for the biggest draft selection of ANXO ciders all week!

Apples and bees are a natural pair and so is Charm City and ANXO. Both companies have roots in DC and Baltimore and after years of crossing paths they are throwing a party to celebrate great beverage. Charm City will be showcasing their awesome meads as always, but they are welcoming ANXO and a few other heritage cider producers into their space for a relaxing Friday night after a long "work week." Cider makers and cider enthusiasts alike are invited to stop by and talk shop and/or decompress, as long as it is over a glass of mead or cider.

Acidity-driven Cidre Blanc meets mineral laden, briny oysters and a beautiful lovechild is created. The first in a 99-year series commemorating this union will be held at the acclaimed Dylan's Oyster Cellar at a time yet-to-be-determined (but well in advance of "the big game"). Guests should plan on consuming copious amounts of oysters washed down with ANXO's flagship cider, Cidre Blanc. Rumors of a CB Oyster Shooter are circulating. Details coming soon. If you do not like oysters and good cider you will hate this event.
